Background Story: Jacob (King J) was born and grew up in Brooklyn. He was raised by a young single mother and quickly in his youth got involved in gangs and drugs. At the age of 15 his best friend was shot while jumping in front of a bullet that was meant for Jacob and as a result died. Jacob took up his friends passion of music an decided to pursue a career in honour of his best friend.
