Magazine Advert

This is the completed magazine advert. The magazine advert is made very simplistically, a lot like the digipak with minimalistic features but enough substance to where it doesn't look like its lacking. I changed the main digipak image so that instead of keeping the text I would just use the original picture and have the text elsewhere on the magazine.

Spine 2

This is the second spine. This also carries on with the same design but also has the text for the digipak  "Born n Bred" in the centre.

Spine 1

This is the first spine for the digipak. This spine incudes only the simplistic design, I sued this design as it looks conventional too the genre as well as not being to overcomplicated where it would have a negative affect on the digipak as a whole

Digipak Photo 2

This is just a simple image used within the digipak. I originally had a panel with more information but felt that using just a edited image would look nicer.

Digipak Photo 1

This is the first image I use out of the two panels consisting of just images. Both this image and the second are edited and enhanced in similar ways so that it flows the best.

CD Tracklist

This is the panel which consists of the track list being featured on the CD. The image I have used here I feel is the best our group took as well as it having a lot of free space on the right side so I felt it could be the best image to have when it came to making a panel for the track list.

CD Front Cover

This is the front cover for the digipak. For the main image I felt that it would be good to use an image which has a nice background as well as being bright. I also chose this particular main image as it looks as if King J is celebrating and happy, although you can not see his face.

CD 2

This is the second CD within the digipak. This CD consists of the extras, once again I have just gone for an image which has been slightly edited as well as the text saying "extras", this looking a lot like the first CD.

CD 1

This is the first CD in the digipak which will hold all of the songs. The cd itself is a simple enhanced image with a black background. The text is the same font but two different sizes as I feel it looks better this way.

Digipack Planning 12

I have decided to go with a simplistic spine that has two sections, one with a simple design and the second with the continued design but also the album name. The colour scheme through out will be black and white as its simplistic but also stylish and pops enough where it would be eye catching at a store. I feel that at this point I have completed the digipak as the two panels which I previously had information will now be high quality and slight edited images so that the digipak flows better.

Digipak Planning 11

I have decided to include second font as well as change the design. Due to the lack of time I have decided to go for a simplistic design compared to my previous version so that I can concentrate on including all the necessary components of a digipak.

Digipak Planning 10

I have decided to almost start from scratch with my digipak due to the rushed nature of my first version of the digipak. To get more of an idea of the elements im missing i am looking at others for inspiration to see what they have that my prior version didnt have.

Digipak Planning 9

After looking over the magazine advert, Sinead didnt like the look of it. She didnt like th fact that i distorted the main image of the digipak cover and made it very small so it wasnt the main focus point of the advert. She also didnt like the header of the advert "King J Debut Album" and would feel it to be more neccesary to have a logo as well as including social network links on the advert, alot like the panel i have done within the digipak that is speciofically for social networks.

Digipak Planning 8

I have now completed my magazine advert. With the magazine advert i am advertising King J's new album as well as having all of his social media so that it creates the artist more exposure. I have included a main image of the artist as well as a secondary image of all wall full of graffiti. With the background image i played around with the opacity so that it is more see through.

Digipak Planning 7

I have now finished the digipak and put it into one document. I have done this by making all of the sections a JPG and made a blank document that is able to fit all of the sections in. After placing it in i realised that the last two sections clash due to the fact that they have a black border. The next step is to make a spine as well as a magazine advert.

Photoshoot

As a group we went to the location we initially started to film and used it as a place to take photographs of the artist. We took a little of hundred photos around the area and experimented with camera angles as well as the scenery of the particular shot. We also went to a location that we found during our first filming which was a large hill with a scenery consisting of buildings in the background. From these photos we would choose the ones to use on the digipak, we also decided to not use the same ones for example all have the same photo as the cover.

Choosing A Font

These are a selection of fonts that I looked at before settling on 'Beyond The Mountains'.

I originally looked at font that I saw while listening to music, the word displayed in the font was 'Swaggy Tracks' but I later found out that its not from a font and the artists just made Swaggy Tracks look like that.

Digipak Planning 6

I have finished the social network section of the digipak. The social media sites I chose are Facebook,Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. this was because these are the most popular social networks. I have used the name of the artist as the account name as its easily recognisable. The style and layout is similar to the tour dates part where there is a black border around the main image.

Digipak Planning 5

I have now completed my next section of the digipak involving the tour dates. I chose not to many dates so that it fits better onto the page as well as being a new artist so he wont have enough influence to prompt a bigger tour. For the next section I will be doing a page dedicated the social networks of the artist, this is done so that they can keep up to date with him and any projects he Is working on.

Digipak Planning 4

I have finished the design of both CD's. I positioned the text slanted to the side and fairly small but not to small where it wouldn't be visible.

I am now moving onto the other panels, I have decided to do one consisting of the artists tour dates. For inspiration I have looked at other artists such as Drake's 'Boy Meets World Tour'.
